Led by Estelle O'Callaghan, the Sparkways Board of Directors is made up of eight Directors who are responsible for overseeing the governance, management, strategic direction, and for delivering accountable performance in accordance with the organisation's goals and objectives. All of our Directors are proud pillars of the Melbourne community and together they bring a wealth of experience gained from many years in both government and commercial sectors.
Estelle O'Callaghan
Board Chair, Audit and Risk Committee Member
Estelle is passionate about moving the needle of positive change further and faster. She does this through the company she founded, 3P Delivery Authority, which specialises in guiding clients to execute their strategic initiatives superbly well.
Prior to starting her own business, Estelle had two careers: public administration and music education.
Estelle is also a Board Director, author, seasoned public speaker, and podcast guest. In late 2021, she launched her book Rock Your Roll Out in a national collaboration with the Winston Churchill Trust. This was followed by a virtual global masterclass tour to encourage the discovery of untapped value hiding in strategic initiative performance.
3P Delivery Authority works with a range of government, not-for-profit, and corporate clients.

Diana Amato
Director, People Culture Wellbeing and Governance Committee Member
Diana Amato knows working with young people is the only way to support them to meet their aspirations, and to become successful adults. Diana is a youth and community development specialist having worked in the youth affairs and refugee and migrant sector since 1996. Diana has maintained a number of senior roles for peak bodies, including the Centre for Multicultural Youth and the State Government department - Office for Youth. Her career spans national and international contexts, working in the not-for-profit sector, state and local government areas. In 2016, Diana worked with a youth committee and was instrumental in supporting the development of Victoria’s State-wide Youth Policy, Building Stronger Youth Engagement in Victoria.
She would describe herself as a lifelong learner, always curious about people, different cultures, and what makes good leadership in large organisations. This year sees her complete her Master of Management and Leadership in Organisation Dynamics, a field dedicated to systems thinking and group dynamics. She is currently the Senior Coordinator of the Welcoming Neighbourhoods team for Moonee Valley City Council.

Jane Brockington

Jane was a public sector executive with more than 20 years’ experience across regulation, economic reform, and infrastructure policy. She now works with organisations on governance, regulation, integrity and change.

Mark Cameron

MAICD, MBA, G Dip Mgmt, B Eng (Hons) | Mark has more than 30 years of experience working in the commercial and industrial sectors in Australia, Europe, Africa and Asia.
His experience ranges widely from executive leadership, management, engineering, marketing, services development, customer engagement, and university lecturing through to consulting in the disability/assisted technology, youth support, disruptive technology, alternative energy, and logistics & transport sectors.

Brendan Davis

Brendan is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years' professional experience in Australia and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on the Energy, Utilities and Mining sector. Brendan has significant experience working with listed, private and not-for-profit sector clients, providing financial and ESG assurance and related service engagements spanning external audit, internal audit, advisory and compliance related reviews.

Matthew Fredericks

Mathew is an MBA qualified executive who has led a diverse group of individuals to create successful businesses throughout 20 plus years in business. Mathew has led and implemented business strategies resulting in sustainable growth for business and employee engagement. He is also passionate about championing children and their development as a Non-Executive Director with Foster Care Association of Victoria.

James Lawson
Director, People Culture Wellbeing and Governance Committee Member
James has over 25 years of experience in leading operational teams and driving change and innovation in ‘for purpose’ environments. Starting as a chef training adults with disabilities to help them find employment, he then worked with young offenders on community work projects with a similar goal. Moving to Australia, James worked in the Victorian Public Service across a variety of departments and roles. This included the design and delivery of the Bushfire Buyback Scheme following the devastating 2009 bushfires and the statutory role of Director and Registrar, Births, Deaths, and Marriages for Victoria.
For the last two years, James led the operations teams for the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria), with a focus on improving the customer and stakeholder experience in alternative dispute resolution. This included a six-month stint as the Acting Ombudsman.
James joined the Sparkways Board in mid-2022. He is also a regular volunteer in Sacred Heart Mission’s kitchen in St Kilda.
