GlamXperience provides a platform for job creation by supporting social enterprise

The glamping specialists GlamXperience engaged the Sparkways Social Enterprise team to build a series of raised decking platforms in Western Gippsland.

The partnership supports Sparkways to create training and job opportunities for young people experiencing barriers to the workforce.

With several large-scale decking platforms required, the project provided the team with a great opportunity to apply the skills they gained on their Cert II Building qualification while gaining critical work experience.

The raised decking platforms were all constructed to a high-quality finish from responsibly sourced materials and are now ready for the next stage of their transformation into amazing accommodation in the great outdoors.

Sometimes we can get caught up in the 'rat race' and forget that we are all human just trying to do the best with what we have... I think volunteering is perfect for someone looking for greater meaning to their lives. Helping someone through a tough time and being there for them has actually helped me more.

"Volunteering has enhanced my life..."

Volunteering has enhanced my life on both a professional and personal level. On a professional level, it has allowed me to be considered for jobs working with at-risk youth. And personally, it has made me appreciate life a lot more, especially the little things.

I believe that volunteering is important because there are so many young people out there that need volunteer mentors! Although everyone is busy with their everyday lives, being a mentor does not take up all of your time, and the time spent doing it is more than worth it.
