See what our community have to say
The Educators supported my child and respected his individuality.
The children regularly visited the nature garden, my son loved exploring the garden.
I love that the educators really know each child and their families this makes me feel valued.
Children are supported to collaborate, learn from and help each other. We support this through extended time to play and interact with their peers.
Our Philosophy
At Grace Park Preschool we believe:
- Children learn best with “hands on” active learning. Children also learn through collaboration and communication with peers, adults and their environment.
- A motivating and nurturing environment has the potential to stimulate imagination, promote creativity and enhance each child’s individual wellbeing.
- Children need opportunities to practice and consolidate their skills in key learning areas including:
- Language and literacy
- Creative and expressive arts
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social and emotional development
- Education programs are designed and developed as a result of input from families, children’s interests and educator’s professional knowledge.
Our Spaces / Environment
We provide an environment that supports a sense of wonder, experimentation, thinking and socialisation, has connection with nature and culture as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
We implement a flexible program that is responsive to the evolving nature of the early childhood environment and provides for different learning styles.
We use both indoor and outdoor environments to encourage the children’s ability to observe, explore, imagine, make choices, take calculated risks and problem solve.

Fees
The Victorian Government provides funding to support children to access a high quality kindergarten program in the two years before they start school. This helps to ensure all Victorian children get the best start in life.
From 2023, the Victorian Government is making kindergarten programs free for three and four-year-old children – saving you and your family up to $2,500 per year for their program. Free Kinder is a critical component of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reform.
FAQs
Do I need to pack sunscreen?
As a sun-safe organisation we provide child-friendly sunscreen, however if your child has sensitive skin please feel free to provide your preferred brand.
Should my child be toilet trained to attend?
We respect each child is individual and develops at his/her own rate. We encourage families to have begun toilet training and will work to support their child’s development to promote a positive outcome.
Children do have toileting accidents on occasion, which are managed sensitively and discretely by educators. We ask each family to keep a complete change of clothes in their child’s bag in case children require changing. They’re also handy for when your child becomes thoroughly immersed in water play outside!
How many children are in a group?
We have 22 children in our 3 year old program, with two qualified staff. We also have 22 children in our 4 year old programs, with two qualified staff.
How will my child be supported for school transition?
Educators at Grace Park Preschool work closely with families regarding children’s skills and readiness for transition to school. Each family is provided with a Transition Statement during Term 4, which is an overview of your child’s development, interests, strengths and suggestions to help with transition. A copy of this is forwarded to your child’s school, with your permission.
We have strong connections with local schools and work to ensure a smooth transition for each of the children in our care.
